A Moon Day Commitment
A Sangha Poetry Update
Recently I have been inspired by two amazing women here on Substack, Liz O’Connor and Erin Webber. Both of these women have inspired me by their commitment to creativity. I love reading what they create. I am grateful for what they create. I look forward to reading what they create. And, importantly, I know when I can expect a new offering from them. They have each, recently, come to serve as a mirror for me. And I have found myself looking into that mirror and asking, What is my commitment to myself? To my subscribers?
I have a full time job. And I have been using that as an excuse. But I have come to realize what a blessing to me this community on Substack is. And I want to be a blessing in return. So here I am, making a commitment. To my creativity. To you. No more writing only when I feel like it. Or only when I have extra time. Or only when I feel inspired. Inspiration is lovely. And I am trusting that as I commit to honoring my creativity, inspiration will come. Here is my commitment: Every Monday, Moon Day, I will make an offering to you. I will post an article, not just a note, that I have written with the intention of supporting you along your journey. Anchored in Buddhist philosophy, sometimes dialoguing with astrology, often quoting poetry. But always pointing toward lovingkindness. Liz, Erin and others have created a space on Substack that is a home for me and that helps me grow. I commit to creating a home of lovingkindness for you as well. Namaste. And see you Moon Day! Ashley
